At Robot Innovation Week 2025, held from Tuesday, December 16 to Thursday, December 18 at Tokyo Akihabara UDX, we introduced a range of computer vision (CV) AI solutions from noema (Nayama), a DSR company, with the support of our partners Sohwa & Sophia Technologies.
In addition to demoing applications such as flood detection, liquid leak detection, and snow detection , we also showcased the Noema Sign Language Animation and Analog Gauge Monitoring applications. The Sign Language Animation app is the result of more than three years of joint development with NHK Enterprises and was adopted at major international events this year.
This marked our third exhibition at Robot Innovation Week, following appearances in 2023 and 2024. Compared with three years ago, we clearly felt that the adoption of edge AI is steadily and rapidly progressing.
In the past, most visitors attended mainly to gather information about AI, but this year, requests for proof-of-concept experiments and concrete evaluations became the dominant purpose. Notably, computer vision solutions and various monitoring systems, focused on facility management and operations, received an especially strong response
We truly feel that the era of edge AI has finally begun.
On the 18th, we held a session introducing noema’s CV technologies and various algorithms, including real-world implementation cases.
For those who are interested, please feel free to contact us. We would be delighted to introduce our various applications via web meetings or in person.
